AP Cash Dec 2024 Payout: Check the Payment Date and Amount!

On 14 November 2024, the Singapore Ministry of Finance press released the Enhanced Support for younger or adult citizens, which will be processed in December 2024. The Assurance which complements the GST voucher scheme of Singapore is also a part of the December enhanced support

The Singapore government has announced the December enhanced support for Singaporean households in the concern for cost-of-living. Assurance Package Cash is one of the supports, the citizens expecting the cash payment can check the full payout and other details here. 

AP Cash Dec 2024 Payout

The eligible Singaporeans are looking forward to this support as they will receive the cash payment. The AP benefits are paid for five years which have cash payments for adults, seniors, U-Save, Medi-Save top-ups, and many others. 

The December payout is for adults aged 21 or above who will receive payments between $700 and $2250 based on their age, income, and property ownership. The Singaporeans can check the payment depending on their income and property ownership from below:

AP Cash Dec 2024 Eligibility Criteria 

Singaporeans who are seeking AP Cash assistance can check the eligibility criteria for the support below and ensure their eligibility for the upcoming cash payment:

  • People who have Singapore citizenship and residing in Singapore
  • People who have attained 21 years of age or above in 2025 (reference year).
  • Singaporeans whose Assessable income in the year 2023 meets the income threshold defined above. The assessable income comes after you deduct the approved donations and allowable expenses from your total income.

Exclusions:

  • People who have Singapore residency/ citizenship but also hold foreign citizenship are excluded from the benefit unless they resolve the issue with ICA and take Singapore Citizenship. 

How and When will you receive the AP Cash payment?

The Singapore Government will credit the AP Cash payment based on your income and property ownership in December 2024. The payday depends on the payment method you have chosen to receive the assistance or applied to you. 

The AP Cash will be credited by default to your PayNow-NRIC linked bank account, so if your PayNow is not linked with NRIC, you must link it. However, if you cannot, then worry not, the government will send the payment to the PayNow-GIRO participating bank account. Moreover, if you have previously provided your bank account number to the authority, then you may receive the payment via the bank account. 

Now, the AP Cash date based on the payment method you will receive your DEc 2024 APR cash:

  • PayNow-NRIC linked account recipients will receive the AP Cash payment by 05 December 2024. 
  • Recipients who have not linked their PayNow with NRIC can receive their cash payment in their participating bank which they have provided to the authority from 16 December 2024 
  • Recipients who have not provided their bank account or do not have a PayNow-NRIC linked account can receive the payment via GovCash from 24 Dec 2024.

How to claim the AP Cash? 

Eligible Singaporeans do not have to do anything to receive the AP Cash payments from the government, if they meet the eligibility requirement, the government will automatically process the payment each year in December. 

The Assurance Package assistance is five-year assistance started in 2022, so the recipients will receive the payment till 2026 when they meet the eligibility criteria based on their income tax return, assessable income, and property ownership.

However, if you wish to receive the early cash payment you must link your PayNow with NRIC if you do not have a PayNow-NRIC linked account. 

How can you link your PayNow to NRIC to receive payment early?

Eligible Singaporeans who do not have a PayNow-NRIC linked account can still link their NRIC to PayNow before 23 November 2024. Singaporeans who wish to link the NRIC to PayNow can follow the following ways:

  • First of all,  you must have an account in any of the above-mentioned participating banks and log into Digibank mobile or Digibot. 
  • Next, go to the PayNow section and tap your profile.
  • Next, go to register via NRIC/FIN or mobile number at your convenience.
  • Next, confirm your details like name, and liked account, you will receive OTP on your mobile number if you have registered via mobile number, or
  • If you have registered via NRIC/FIN, you must enter your FIN/NRIC number, profile details, and linked account and review your details. 
  • At the next step, you will be registered after verifying the OTP or reviewing your Account details. 

PayNow is the safest secure money transfer system, so if you wish to receive the payment early on 05 Dec, you must link your NRIC now with PayNow if it’s not. The recipients should understand the navigation to link NRIC with PayNow may vary from bank to bank but the process is the same for every bank, so register it carefully.
